Frequently Asked Questions
What is a CBD tincture?
A CBD tincture is a popular form factor of hemp extract with naturally occuring CBD and other carrier oils intended to be ingested. It is produced by extracting hemp or cannabis plants through an alcohol or CO2 process. After the extraction, we test the product for heavy metals, solvents, herbicides, pesticides, and potency. Once blended, this results in a potent liquid that can be taken in small, concentrated doses. CBD dosage can vary depending on its use.
How do I use a CBD Oil tincture?
Our tincture bottles include a graduated dropper that conveniently allows you to measure and administer the appropriate dosage. Shake well, then unscrew the lid, pinch the top and then release in order to draw the liquid into the dropper. Place the desired dose under your tongue and wait 30 seconds before swallowing.
What is the best dosage for CBD Oil?
We recommend starting with half to full dropper of CBD oil at a time. You may increase this amount slightly as needed.
What is CBD oil?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical compound known as a cannabinoid. It is derived from cannabis, and it is usually extracted from the hemp plant. CBD oil is a combination of both the cannabinoid and oil (the oil is used to maximize the absorption of the compound in your body). When absorbed, CBD oil typically helps you to feel calmer and more relaxed and has brain-boosting properties as well. Unlike its cousin THC, CBD does not cause any psychoactive effects, so you do not have to worry about experiencing any type of head “high” when taking CBD.
Does CBD oil help with pain relief?
Research has shown that pure CBD oil can be an effective form of pain relief. Cannabidiol (CBD) can be taken orally or applied topically in order to help manage chronic pain. Plant People products not only use the power of CBD, but also minor cannabinoids, other herbs and botanical ingredients for extra support.
Does CBD oil help with anxiety?
Anxiety relief is another well-known benefit of CBD oil. Studies have shown that CBD may have a relaxing effect on your body and mind, which may help relieve the symptoms of anxiety.
Does CBD oil help with sleep?
Full spectrum CBD oil has been found to help promote more restful sleep, especially when taken shortly before bedtime. CBD may help you to fall asleep more easily because of its calming properties and ability to relieve tension in the body and mind. Plant People products contain other minor cannabinoids such as CBN and terpenes that are known to support sleep - getting to sleep faster, staying asleep longer and waking up non drowsy.
Is CBD legal?
CBD is legal in all 50 United States thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill. The sale and use of hemp in the U.S. is legal as long as all hemp products, including CBD, contain no more than 0.3% THC.
Is CBD safe?
The World Health Organization (WHO) has studied CBD and found that it poses no adverse health effects and may be effective in many medical applications.
What is full-spectrum CBD oil?
Full-spectrum CBD includes a full range of compounds such as terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids, and other phytonutrients. Early research has shown that the added compounds can help make pure CBD work even better and may provide additional health benefits of their own. This theory is called the Entourage Effect. Using full spectrum products allow us to leverage the power of other minor cannabinoids and terpenes for even better customer outcomes.
What is CBD isolate?
CBD isolate does not include any additional terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids or other phytonutrients. Pure CBD is extracted from the hemp plant, and it is then purified and winterized in order to remove any other components so that only CBD molecules remain. Although more research is needed, it is thought that CBD isolate may not provide the same range of benefits that full-spectrum oils are known for.
